Hi my name is Irina Selina and I am one of the Egoscue Advanced Exercise Therapist. Certified PAS, PT, Nutrition and Weight Loss Coach, WBFF Pro Athlete, Yoga Instructor, Patch Fitness Performer, Runner, Ballroom Dancer, Proud Mom and Happy Wife!!!

It’s been known that even the best athletes have been injured from even the basic exercises.

I remember when I got Plantar Fasciitis myself five years ago and I was in shock, because I thought that someone who’s as strong as myself shouldn’t have such severe problem. After doing my postural therapy and studying the Egoscue method I realized that my body wasn’t as functional as I thought it was. In fact, there are tons of athletes with major dysfunctions and chronic pain. 

Functional strength is not about how much you can lift or how fast you can run. It’s the ability to move and perform an exercise without limitation or any compensatory motions, being able to do activities you love and repeat an exercise effectively without little decrease in performance and stay injury and pain free.

It is very important to pay attention to our postures and make sure that our bodies are truly functional.

We have four sets of load-bearing joints — the shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles — and the function of each one is dependent on the function of the other three.

​Now what is Egoscue?

Egoscue is all about posture! It is Postural Alignment Therapy developed by Pete Egoscue in 1978 to eliminate chronic pain without drugs, surgery or manipulations. It’s a revolutionary approach for treating chronic pain with corrective exercise.

Postural Alignment Therapy Provides Effective Pain Relief For: back pain, hip pain, knee pain, IT band syndrome, tennis or golfers' elbow, disc herniation, sciatica, rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, TMD, migraine headaches, neck pain, scoliosis, degenerative joints, degenerative disc disease and a myriad of other pain conditions.
